Water Well Update - February 2015

On February 18, 2015, a 350 feet deep, water well was dug and capped by Water for Life, on the Mission Church Haiti property near Jeremie, Haiti. Water for Life is a charitable mission program that focuses on providing the basic necessity of clean water to those in dire need. The water from this well, will not only be used to meet the needs of our church and school, but also for the entire Chateau community. A community water committee is being developed to provide hands-on experience for the upkeep of the well and distribution of water to their community. We are investing in a submersible pump that can be powered by solar, wind, or generator energy. Presently, a team from the Mission Church Hammond is preparing a trip to Haiti, to install this water pump. Our goal, our dream, our prayer for clean water has been realized! We are so thankful to the Lord for His love and provision for the Haitian people.

Water Well Update - January 2014

In January 2014, a Geophysical Survey of our property in Chateau was conducted to locate all possible water sources on our property. Two water sources were found. A final report on both the water quality and well drilling options is expected soon.
